Currently, Austin Heritage Fruit Ranch is being honored by the Hieldsburg Museum as one of their featured farms in their Farm to Table exhibition! The exhibition shows Sonoma County's agricultural history, from the largest hops growing community in the world in the 1870's, to the leading producers of prunes in the state from 1910 to 1970, and finally the current status of the leading grape producers for California Wines. Sonoma County has seen many changes in it's agricultural past and Austin Heritage Fruit Ranch has been there since the beginning!

We have lent the museum a few antique prune harvesting and processing tools for their beautiful Farm to Table exhibit. However, the most exciting aspect of the partnership was the opportunity to participate in the audio tour of the exhibit. When you stop by the museum, pick up the audio tour and press #3 to choose the recording of Bryce Austin telling his story of growing up on his family's prune farm, which after many years of hard work of crop diversification, has become Austin Heritage Fruit Ranch.
